This complete new build is their forever home and their love for beauty was not spared in any of their material choices.

The client brought us on to completely gut and remodel this old farmhouse built in the early 1900s, and to bring it into the 21st century.

The elements of the high desert, along with the surrounding landscapes combining ranches, mountain ranges and vistas that stretched on seemingly infinitely were all vital aspects of the framework for inception of the “True Modern Farmhouse”.

As a California native, the wife was drawn to bright and spirited designs, while the husband desired a Swedish masculine minimalist feel. We landed on a Scandinavian inspired, eclectic style that exuded both a masculine and sunny aesthetic, with a goal to incorporate their collection of art and artifacts from around the world.

This primary bedroom suite expansion included adding a second story rooftop landing to enjoy the stunning views of the high desert landscape. We selected design elements and drew inspiration from the client's love of the original Pueblo Revival Architectural Style of the home and their appreciation for the land surrounding.
